History of Mabeskraal Tlhakong

Division around 1650 under king thathwe. Succeeded by leema, around the thulani river settlement. Sibling of Matutu. 1675 both moved around Thulani, hence present day Batlhako ba Matutu and Leema. Leemana took from Leema around 18th century where he moved his section to Moreteletsi and his clan became known as batlhako ba matutu. For 75 they settled ko Mmaseletswana under kgosi Seutlwane. Mabe ruled around 1785. They settled ko Legatelle around ruighoek or legatelle under Kgosi Motsisi who died around 1720. Followed by Molotsi who bore 2 children Mabe and Legatelle, mabe settled with batlhoko ko Motsitle around 1825. Legatelle defendants are found in Molotsi clan. 1827 ndebele conscripted some of ba matutu and settled with them ko silikats Kop. Mabe moved his people to near Molepolole ko Botswana where he died. Moetlo took over from Mabe and we underwent civilization and was called Moletlo Mabe and he brought Batlhako back to Motsitle from 1870 till today.
